So, it has been a more interesting road trip than I anticipated and the great state of Texas has once again shown me an immeasurable act of kindness. When we initially were moving to Texas we got locked out of our car at a rest stop in the rain. Myself, my mom, Tristan, Avery, Bret, and my little dog, Shoo Shoo. A worker at the rest stop called 911 for us and a locksmith was sent. He refused to charge us for his service and just said in parting, "you ladies have a great rest of the day." Fast forward to today. My car decides to stutter and die on I 30 West 70 miles out of Dallas in a little place called Sulpher Springs. We broke down right next to a place called RK Hall Construction, LTD and we met a Mr. Tony Coffman. He gave us a quiet cool place to sit to make phone calls and arrangements and drove me to pick up a rental car. Speedy's Tow Service was dispatched by my roadside assistance company and he made sure that we got approval to take my car to the best shop in the area and ensured that the entire tow would be covered. We will have to leave the car in Commerce, TX for the duration of our trip but the Hoover Automotive Center ensured us they will take care of it. What could have been a terrible experience was buffered by the kindness of total strangers. Thanks to them the girls and I are now enjoying a decent meal and are well on our way to San Antonio.
