1950s Avant Garde Cocktail Dress . Originally purchased this for myself, and after photographing it, I'm finding it hard to let go! A stunning and wildly unique 1950s cocktail dress , crafted in luminous jet black taffeta with stunning details at every turn... an off the shoulder bodice with half sleeves and a faux peekaboo sweetheart neckline trimmed in white lace and prong set rhinestones, a tailored nipped waist and a half circle interior skirt topped with a ful ... l circle overskirt with sculptural 3D pleating at the hips! Metal back zip closure with hook and eye at the top. In very good vintage condition with no holes, stains, smells fading or discoloration. The only notable flaw is a 2" area where a pulled seam was repaired just above the waist on the right side of the bodice (see comments section for close up) This has been well repaired and blends well with the garment making it nearly undetectable.
